Do all for his Glory
Today’s devotion is taken from 1 Corinthians 10:31:
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
I have heard this verse a hundred times and every time i hear it, I wonder whether Christians have really grasped the meaning of this statement. We’re living in a world where people are taught very early on to do what pleases them. It’s all about me and no one else. This is the mentality that prevails in today’s society. Unfortunately, it has made it over to the professed children of God.
As Christians, we should be the beacons of light in the world. How we live our lives greatly affects whether others will ever come to know Christ. When we go out with our friends, family, etc., we should me mindful that people are watching us and as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, we need no ensure that we represent our maker well. Paul reminds us that in everything we do, we are to glorify our Maker. He didn’t say church things, he didn’t say just Christian things, he said in EVERYTHING!

With our freedom to choose comes a responsibility to choose wisely. So whatever decisions you make, remember that it can affect your testimony.
Memory Text:
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, thank you for reminding me to use my freedom with responsibility. Teach me to make wise decisions that will draw others to you.
