We want bigger, better, faster, and we want it NOW. It doesn’t matter who gets in the way because its all about ME. But what if it’s not? What if…are you sitting down?… the world doesn’t revolve around individuals, but around the ONE who made the world?

If life were a movie, God would be the main character, not me. It IS NOT about me. I think the problem is when we get so “me” focused that we forget that God is the main character and we are but a supporting role. The hardest time to grasp this is in the middle of a trial. How could this happen to ME?

Why ME?

We have friends with a precious little girl fighting cancer. Why them? Why her? I don’t know the answers to these questions, but I do know one who does. I know that my God is in control and nothing surprises him. Every tear I cry he holds in his hands (casting crowns)

When I’m gone, it won’t matter how big my house was, what clothes I wore, or how much money I had in the bank. But what will matter is what I did for Christ and who I will see with me in heaven.

What am I (you) going to do today that will make a difference for eternity?

Father please reveal in me the areas where I am selfish Help me to put others needs above my own. Help me to see everyone around me as one of your precious children and fill me with your love and compassion.
