It ain’t over till God says it’s over…

This entry is part 3 of 6 in the series God Cares

As I sat in the hospital’s waiting room, a million and one thoughts ran through my mind. Would he make it? What would I do without him? How would mom survive? Despite my racing mind, I had to maintain a strong demeanor in order to keep the family together, mainly my mom. Though I am [...]

Push through the storm

Push through the storm

It was Wednesday evening and I was attending a meeting at a friend’s house. Suddenly, I felt a push to check my cell phone. When I did, I had eight missed calls from my aunt and mom. Oh no! I said to myself. Right then and there I knew something was wrong. I picked hit [...]

Stay Saved

Stay Saved

The other day while reading the book of Hebrews. I came across chapter four which addressed the Sabbath Rest. At first, I was a bit confused. I wondered if God was talking about an actual day. If he was, 3/4 of the Christian Church had it wrong and needed to switch days quickly. While I continued my studies, I came to realize that the Sabbath rest being addressed here was the one where we’ll be with Jesus in our new heavenly home

I am so MAD at YOU

I am so MAD at YOU

Easter is coming and as churches prepare for the big day and Christians around the world partake in lent, I find myself a wee bit frustrated. Though I am suppose to be reflecting on the great sacrifice Jesus made for me, I AM MAD @ God. GASP, did she just say that? Isn’t that a [...]

Anyone can Praise, but…

Anyone can Praise, but…

Saturday morning I had an interesting talk with one of my best girlfriends, Stephanie, about the Praise factor. We are living in an age where Praise is no longer a sacrifice offering but an art. It almost appears that there are the dos and donts of Praise. You will lift up your hands (though you [...]

From my sick bed…

From my sick bed…

This morning I feel like I have been hit by tractor trailer. Every joint in my body is hurting and I can barely get out of bed. My parents kept calling out for me thinking that I had overslept but I couldn’t muster the strength to let them know. When I finally did, my mom [...]

I believe and that settles it

I believe and that settles it

Today, we contemplate silence over at aholyexperience.com. I decided to switch it up a bit and talk about believing when Heaven is silent. Hope you enjoy! I have always wanted to purchase my first home within my early 30s. Matter of fact, the goal was to get it at 30 so that I can pay [...]

He hears the Whispers

He hears the Whispers

Last night I finally got a chance to watch the Daystar Sharathon. For the past couple of months God has put in my heart to sow a seed of first fruits. This is a gift aside from tithes and offerings. Although I wanted to do it, I didn’t know what ministry to support. The more [...]

Snowed In

Snowed In

It’s 7am! Ok, time to get ready to go. I open the door and OH NOOOOOOOOO, SNOW! It’s such a pain to shovel the thing but I must admit that it is such a beautiful sight. (Check out the view from my door) I reflect on how creative God is and realize that everything that [...]

My God Confidence

Ah! It’s morning. WAIT! OH NO! IT’S MOVING DAY. I scramble to gather together the last minute things as we wait for the moving company to arrive at 8am. An hour into it, I realize a sense of sadness has come over me. I ask God why do we have to move again. I feel [...]

From Maniac to Missionary

In Mark 5, we read of the demon possessed man who came to Jesus. He was living amongst the tombs and was described as being extremely violent and uncontrollable. They could not bind him at all. Not even chains were able to subdue this man. Night and day he would cry out and cut himself [...]

Chameleon Christians

Chameleon Christians

All through my childhood years, I have always heard that we ought to be set apart and not conformed to this world. Although I understood what my elders were trying to relay to me, I also felt that they used the verse to keep us from mingling with the other denominations (but that’s a matter [...]
